The Greenloan home energy scheme is a national renovation cluster scheme, it brings together homeowners in similar locations, to avail of large discounts in upgrading their home,be it attic or wall insulation,boiler upgrade,heating controls upgrade or many other services.

 

The scheme will do all the work for you and will let you know when you are required to do something, you can simply sit back.

Theonly commitment you have to make at this stage is to pay for the Building Energy Rating Assessment on your home, (a grant of €200 towards the cost is available) and tell the BER Assessor which options you would like to consider, you haven't committed to anything else at this stage, you will receive the results of your building energy rating and a quotation to help you gauge what you can afford, then pick the measures you are interested in.

 

Some measures are available for new homes such as the microgeneration ones.

 

Thereare green loan options (if required) available for you also for part or all of the upgrade. The process simply will be managed on your behalf so you get the best experience.

 

On top of the grants available the homeowner will also benefit from lower product costs as several major suppliers have signed up to the scheme to sell the products at a fraction of the cost it would normally be.

The Home Energy Saving (HES) scheme provides grants to homeowners who are interested in improving the energy efficiency of their home in order to reduce energy use and costs as well as greenhouse gas emissions. The scheme is open to all owners of existing houses built before 2006. Sustainable Energy Ireland administers the scheme.

Landlords and owners of multiple properties may also apply, however they must submit a separate application form for each property. If you are a landlord or a management company considering an entire building upgrade, please contact SEI before applying online for the grant.

Assistance will be provided by way of fixed grants towards the costs of implementing upgrade measures. The types of measures currently eligible under this scheme are roof insulation, wall insulation, high efficiency boilers and heating control upgrades. There is also a grant for households who choose to get a Building Energy Rating (BER) assessment Before and After the works are completed, however this is not mandatory
